No Subsidized Premium of Solar to Be Sold at Bali Gas Stations on December 2, 2012

Detik.com reports that the Gas and Oil Distribution Agency (BPH-MiGas) has decided to set Sunday, December 2, 2012 as a day “without subsidized fuel.”

On that day all gas stations in Java, Bali and five other large cities in Indonesia will refuse to sell premium and diesel (solar) fuel.

The five cities joining the one-day ban on subsidized fuel are Medan, Batam, Palembang, Balikpapan and Makassar.

The senior vice-president for fuel marketing and distribution for PT Pertamina, Sukartoko, BPH has isolated December 2 as the day in which gas stations will not sell fuel product subsidized by the government.

The purpose to the day is to remind the public to eliminate or reduce the used of fuels subsidized by the government.

On that date attendants will only be allowed to sell non-subsidized fuels, such as Pertamax.
